Proverbs 13:24 (ESV)
"Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him."
I am thankful to God for giving me a great father who loves us so much. He disciplines us very well since we were kids till now. He never expects us to do what he wants but he allows us to choose what good for us. I am so glad every time I share about my personal life to him. He always gives me wise words and always reminds me that I may not worry about all things because God is with me. He teaches me to think positively even though some people do not like us or do not appreciate what we are doing in life. I know it is not easy because I realized that I am so sensitive. I often think what people would think about what I am doing in life.
My father is a good example in my life. He does not only teach us 'this' and 'that' but he also does what he teaches us, especially about forgiveness and faithfulness. My mom is so thankful to be a long life partner for my dad. They always love and help each other. I am glad and thankful to see what they still have till now but I admit that they sometimes 'argue' because of things but they could work it out well. I do not see it negatively because through their 'hard' moments, they could 'grow' greatly till now to be our great parents.
My father is going to be 72 years old this weekend (2 April). I am thankful for God's blessings in his life. He always gives his love and attention to us. He also never forgets to pray for us. We love you, Dad!! I am thankful to have you as my father and my good friend in sharing, too. Thank you for teaching me about living in a simple way and thank you for giving me some good examples in my life.
